A climate battery can create warm, stable conditions — like those in tropical or Mediterranean regions — even in high-altitude or cold areas.
Osentowski’s greenhouse designs, suitable for both small home gardens and large commercial projects, are fully ecological. They use a simple system that captures and stores warm and cool air, releasing it when needed to keep the temperature balanced.

🌤️ What You’ll Learn
A hands-on weekend combining deep knowledge, design principles and real-world practice:
- Growing in Greenhouses
What you need to know to successfully grow perennial crops in protected environments - and where to find more information.
- Greenhouse Designs & Materials
Comparing types, shapes, materials, sizes and costs – and when each design works best.
- The Climate Battery System
How to use passive heat storage and humidity regulation to lift your microclimate from alpine to Mediterranean or even tropical conditions. Includes planning, materials, management, and examples of good and bad practices.
- Collaborative Site Design
Group design process based on a live example: analysing site conditions, choosing local materials, selecting an appropriate greenhouse design, and designing key elements such as the climate battery, thermal wall, and interior layout (beds, paths, space for annuals, etc.).
The talk will be about irrigation, additional heating systems (e.g. compost, biogas, biochar production, sauna), and the selection of available materials based on function, cost, and quality — followed by planning the implementation process.
- Forest Garden Design in Greenhouses
How to design a combination of perennial plants — soil preparation, watering, care, and more. Characteristics of Mediterranean and tropical forest gardens.
- Adaptations to other cases
Year-round cultivation of annuals, commercial greenhouses, and greenhouses integrated into houses. During the workshop, we will dedicate time to advising you on your specific cases. For greater efficiency, please describe them when registering.
